We would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all of our alum who so very generously donated to help make this reunion a reality. We could not have done it without you!
Blackstone’s- “Flint and Genesee County’s not-so-Irish, Irish pub.”
Carman-Ainsworth Class of ‘96 alum Andrea Bergstrom and her family have been a huge help in setting us up for the main reunion event at their wonderful pub in downtown Flint. They will also be providing bar services at the happy hour event on Friday at the Flint Farmer’s Market. Big thanks, Andrea!
The Stick It Truck- “Kabobs with a saucy attitude!”
The Stick It Truck is a new food truck operating in the Flint area. The owner and operator, Mitch Karas, has been kind enough to agree to attend our Sunday event at Bicentennial Park. He will be serving up a variety of delicious kabobs to our alumni and families! The Stick It Truck supports local businesses by sourcing from Hoffman’s Chop Shop and other vendors from the Flint Farmer’s Market. Please come out to the park hungry on Sunday and support a local vendor!
You can also often find The Stick It Truck at the Farmer’s Market, and various other locations around the Flint area. Check their website or Facebook page for upcoming locations, and show your appreciation in the meantime with a kabob and some mac and cheese balls!
Our alum, Shannon Easter White has kindly offered to help sponsor a photo booth rental for our Blackstone’s event. Shannon’s generosity will allow each of us to take a little bit of the night’s festivities home with us!
If you are in need of a thoughtful and innovative architect to help you on your next project www.funarchitecture.com should be your first stop. Shannon’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence was clearly evident even as a child, and she continues to devote herself tirelessly to each project she undertakes.
Alum Danielle Love Phillips has generously donated gift certificates for cupcakes from her business “QB Eats”. She will also be donating her time and skills to bring her delicious cupcakes to our reunion picnic for us all to enjoy!
In her own words, “I love to cook. I love the feeling as I watch others enjoy my food I prepare. I’m self-taught. I plan on opening a restaurant within the next few years where I will serve good home cooking and delish desserts.”
Marie Fleury Todorovsky has donated not one, but TWO gift baskets from her family business- The Penalty Box in Fenton! The Penalty Box is a great place to unwind and watch a game, with a laidback ambiance, and great food!
Marie Fleury Todorovsky came through again with several “buy one get one free gift certificates” for luxury beauty products from Younique!
Kathleen Lage (a former special education teacher at CAHS) has generously donated two $50 gift certificates for Norwex products. Norwex is a chemical free cleaning direct sales company committed to delivering safe and effective products.
The C-A Class of 1996 will be donating a monetary class gift to The Carman-Ainsworth Education Foundation. C-AEF is a local non-profit committed to supporting “Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools to expand innovative learning opportunities for students and staff in transforming the education of the school district.” They allocate funds to fulfill the needs of various deserving initiatives within the C-A community including for scholarships, and for STEM projects. You can read more about their mission here: C-AEF Mission
If you are interested in contributing to our class gift you can do so through our ticket page when making your ticket purchase.
